In a site that is not food and nutrition can
not remember the problems still persisting in many parts of the
world related to malnutrition, hunger and lack of food.
FAO, an agency specializing in food and problems in the
production of food and agriculture, has the mandate of the
United Nations to help raise levels of nutrition, increase
agricultural productivity of farmland, improve the living
standards of rural populations and help to combat and eradicate
world hunger.

The FAO
is working to solve food problems in the service of FAO
member countries to reduce chronic hunger and develop
the sectors of food and agriculture. |
The FAO was founded on October 16 1945 in Quebec
City, Quebec, Canada. The company is based in Rome since 1951,
where it was transferred from Washington. In January 2008 they
were members 193 countries, plus the European Community.
The origins of the FAO
The FAO, United Nations Food and Agriculture,
was born more for a genuine act of faith that science will not
by the various states and government agencies.

commitments of FAO include the coordination of the response

The FAO inter alia provides on-line a huge

security, forests and fisheries, desertification and
biodiversity, resources food and agricultural commodities, and
anything related to the problems of food and thus malnutrition
of entire peoples.

Each time a drought or other natural
occurrence against destroying the already small subsistence food
sources are now present in many underdeveloped countries, often
