The FAO was founded on October 16 1945 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The company is based in Rome since 1951, where it was transferred from Washington. In January 2008 they were members 193 countries, plus the European Community.

The origins of the FAO

The FAO, United Nations Food and Agriculture, was born more for a genuine act of faith that science will not by the various states and government agencies.

Chronic malnutrition of women and children
